The Group's primary responsibility is to lend to those who are not well served by mainstream credit products or who would otherwise be excluded from credit altogether. Key aspects of this relationship include issues such as carefully checking affordability, lending appropriate amounts, close, on-going contact with our customers, and understanding and forbearance if customers experience difficulties.

But there is a bigger picture that extends far more widely than our primary responsibility of supplying credit to customers. This bigger picture encompasses all the other areas where our business touches the wider society in which we operate and, indeed, the wider world. This includes how we treat our staff and suppliers, how we engage with local communities, how we minimise our impact on the environment, and how we deal with stakeholders such as investors, regulators and tax authorities.

It is the Corporate Responsibility (CR) function that coordinates the Group's engagement with this wider agenda and reports on it to the Group's stakeholders.

About the Role

A vacancy has arisen for a Corporate Responsibility Analyst to work at the Group's headquarters in Bradford. We are looking for an exceptional person who wants to further their career through the application of their skills and hard work. In return, we can offer a full-time role in a centre of excellence.

The Group's Corporate Affairs department comprises staff working on PR, Public Affairs, Community Outreach, and CR. The CR Analyst will support the Head of CR to collect, collate, analyse and organise data (e.g. relating to workplace diversity, carbon management, and community outreach) for inclusion in annual CR reports and other disclosures (e.g. Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), FTSE4Good) and to aid continual improvement in the standing of the Group's CR programme.

This exciting position presents an opportunity to gain good experience in an important role within a first-class Corporate Affairs department in a successful, leading, FTSE100 company. The department works with leading advisers and consultants in all of its various specialisms, including Corporate Responsibility.

Skills and Experience

We are asking for those who are interested to have a clear understanding of corporate responsibility, have an interest in the group and our umbrella companies as well as having excellent verbal and communication skills.

Please note this is a full time role based in Bradford, although it involves travel to London, Winchester, certain other company offices throughout the UK, and off-site meetings, conferences etc.
