About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior SQL Database Administrator to work in the DBS team at our head office in Bradford where you will be required to optimize, upgrade, performance tune, implement DR and manage the SQL platform.

Your duties will include installing Database Server software, design and build databases, schemas, stored procedures, and other database objects, Installing and supporting the database components of packaged database applications, and provide 3rd level support for Microsoft SQL Server for end users, application and administration teams.

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in administering large scale MS SQL environments, strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 R2/2014+, High Availability/Disaster Recovery, Service Broker, SSRS/SSIS/SSAS, and exposure to Availability Groups in SQL Server 2012/2014.

You will have strong exposure to Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting, High Availability and DR technologies, T-SQL scripting, Powershell, and an automation and scripting mind-set.
Certifications in MCSA and MCSE (SQL 2012 and above) are also essential.
