About the Role


The purpose of an Office 365 consultant is to ensure that the business continues to function when Office 365 issues arise. The Office 365 consultant must have the ability to quickly diagnose escalations from the IT service desk at an expert level and resolve quickly, efficiently and in a safe manner. This role also includes project work focused around the SaaS service offering from Microsoft.


Leading our People (Colleagues and Agents)

  • Responsible for ensuring colleagues have a clear understanding of the business objectives and how their role contributes to them
  • Engage and motivate IT teams to deliver business objectives around the Office 365 stack
  • Build capability of IT teams by mentoring and coaching less experienced members of staff and promote an understanding of the value of Infrastructure and cloud services as well as the use of technologies and standards across IT
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to team members and key stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate with Head of Function to provide feedback on potential succession plans and team performance
  • Manage day to day activity and delegate workload when required

Skills and Experience

Experience and Capability

Essential

  • Significant consultancy experience delivering production deployments of Microsoft cloud solutions including Office365, Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as a Service, EMS (Intune, Azure AD, Azure RMS / Azure Information Protection), ADFS and MFA
  • Deep knowledge in Office365 technologies with experience of the following: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Skype for Business
  • Experience of Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect and Active Directory Federation Services
  • Able to design solutions to meet business requirements
  • Have experience of designing, implementing and documenting solutions at an enterprise level.
  • Experience of deploying Hybrid Office365 solutions of on premise & cloud based solutions
  • Experience with design, deploying and operating Microsoft Skype for Business solutions
  • Demonstrable skills to design, whiteboard & evangelise these solutions
  • Significant experience working with Microsoft technologies
  • Experienced with dealing face to face with customers (end-users) as well as over the phone
  • The ideal candidate will have strong rapport building skills complemented with a good understand of customer service, and empathy
  • Must be flexible to new challenges
  • Possesses the ability to convey technical issue to non-technical staff
  • Committed to finding solutions, with a can do attitude and applying additional time as required
  • Maintain a desire and motivation to stay current with relevant technology and solutions, including certification requirements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels in an organisation
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively, particularly at Head of Function level

  • Understand the requirements of an FCA regulated business
  • Design & Implementation of VMware virtual infrastructure
  • Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, SQL Server
  • VMware AirWatch and VMware Identity Manager

Qualifications
Essential
  • MCSA Office 365
  • Minimum MCSA Exchange 2013 - 2016 (Preferably MCSE)
  • MCSE Windows 2012 R2

Desirable
  • MCSA Azure
  • Educated to degree level
