About the Role
About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a UX Designer at our head office in Bradford.
You will deliver user experience (UX) across Home Credit division. In addition to designing wireframes, building prototypes, guiding user research, and writing code for amends to the application interface, you will spend your time understanding key digital/non-digital customer interactions with the Brand to build a three-dimensional view of customers experience in order to bring about a positive impact on customer conversion and experience.

Role responsibilities will include:
  • Work with the UX team to assess existing sites/properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding
  • Participate in leading design/user testing sessions, and identify and document meaningful patterns
  • Prepare, conduct, and analyse behavioural in-context research events
  • Analyse, and organise research data into meaningful themes, categories, and visually compelling frameworks and behavioural models
  • Identify opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience based on user research, and organise opportunities into visually compelling matrices or maps
  • Execute participatory requirements gathering sessions and participate in debrief sessions and create feature lists from sessions.
  • Develop personas/segmentations based on research findings (with guidance and oversight).
  • Create engaging scenarios and develop frameworks describing key aspects of a proposed experience, and how it reconciles business and user needs.
  • Create visually compelling representations of the solution's high-level interaction, navigation, and organisation design (i.e., concept models, prototypes).
  • Develop visual representations of the organisational structure, hierarchy, and relationships of screens in a site (i.e., site maps) as well as the interactions between the user and the functional modules in the solution (with guidance and oversight).
  • Develop screen details (i.e. wireframes) depicting all elements on a unique screen type, including the content, functional, and navigation specifications (with guidance and oversight).
Skills and Experience
About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels in an organisation
  • Experience of researching and analysing user behaviour and interpreting back to actionable tasks designed to improve sales conversion
  • Ability to rapidly understand and balance the intersection and impact of SEO and UX in customer experience & ROI
  • Clear understanding of customer centred design principles
  • Evidence of understanding on customer audience segmentation and the impact in UX development
  • Experience of test and learn principles with examples
  • Experience and expertise in agile design and development methodologies
  • Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Axure to develop interactive prototypes
  • Direct experience on writing HTML, CSS, JavaScript code
  • Understanding of server-side languages at a junior level
