About the Role
About the Role

To take responsibility for managing the IT Service Continuity (ITSC) service and minimise risk and eliminating disruption to the business. The role will work closely with the Risk function to ensure ITSC arrangements are suitable to meet business needs. The role will involve the creation and maintenance of ITSC plans and the management of risk and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

IT Service Continuity Process
  • Develop the overarching IT Service Continuity strategy with supporting policies, processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate the development, maintenance and testing of IT Service Continuity processes.
  • Regular review of policy and process to ensure continued business relevance.
  • Maintain the ITSCM catalogue.
  • Presentations back to the business, IT and other stakeholders on ITSCM strategy.
  • Maintain the ITSCM CSI plan.
  • Analyse IT infrastructure to identify system and application weaknesses.
  • Maintain records of servers/system/applications.
  • Identify and make recommendations on improving our IT service recovery capability.
  • Liaise with IT colleagues on IT service continuity technical issues.
  • Ensure service continuity is considered and integrated as part of service transition activity for all new projects.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, ensuring a robust approach to ITSC has been identified as a priority for the business.
  • Work across a wide range of technologies and business processes.
Escalation
  • Escalate to IT Governance and Audit Manager as and when needed, to ensure ITSC process is not delayed.
  • Act as a point of contact for all ITSC requests.
Reporting
  • Provide regular management information, produce and annotate reports.
  • Identify, create and report on trends.
  • Propose criteria of reporting against and definition of monthly KPI's.
Business Continuity
  • Ensure the ITSC process dovetails with Business Continuity requirements, highlighting any gaps and raising risks accordingly.
  • Support the Business Continuity Work Area Recovery test.
Service Transition
  • Ensure the ITSC process integrates into Service Transition process.
  • ITSC requirements are included in project deliverables and tested accordingly.
