About the Role
About the Role

The role reports into the Head of IT Business Planning and is responsible for developing and maintaining the overall process architecture for the division, identifying opportunities to streamline business practices, transform and improve business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a bridge role between EA and BPM, sharing input from both disciplines in their separate planning activities.
  • Collaborate with Business and IT leaders to ensure Process Excellence guidelines, standards and hierarchies are adhered to when evolving a process into the future state.
  • Identify, plan and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, hand offs, rework etc. resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify long term business needs, and, thus strategic process opportunities and trends, and introduce these into the strategic planning cycle.
  • Facilitate or contribute to the creation of future state enterprise business architectural models (process hierarchies, taxonomies, topologies as well as business capability models and value chains) to drive Business Process initiatives and to manage interdependency.
  • Conduct detailed post-project reviews to assure business outcomes, including metrics, were actually achieve and generate reports for the Head of IT Business Planning.
  • Responsible for targeting completion of process improvement initiatives within the agreed time frame whilst delivering the expected benefits.
  • Provide relevant updates on Process Excellence plans and projects, promoting the goals and results.
  • Ensure risks are considered in the design of any new business process, and determine whether in line with business appetite, ensuring the relevant controls are built into the business process.
  • Any changes to business processes are appropriately impact assessed.
Skills and Experience
About You

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a Process Engineer/Architect capacity who has led large scale process improvement initiatives, delivering value to the organisation.
  • Broad strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction, and exceptional change management.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Strategic planning, leadership and relationship management.
  • Significant experience in ‘As Is’ process discovery, through the use of various techniques, and the modelling of ‘To Be’ processes.
  • Business Case/Benefits definition, and ability to translate business goals and metrics into business process outcomes.
  • Root cause analysis and Impact Analysis.
  • Familiarity with BPM modelling notation (such as BPMN).
  • Experience of a Process Repository tool and the associated benefits.
  • Knowledgeable in designing and constructing business processes, functions and organisational structures
  • Ability to identify emerging technology that can add business value, and to modify business practices to take full advantage of technology innovation
  • Understand the requirements of an FCA regulated business.
  • Experience or understanding of Business Architecture principles.
  • Robotic Process Automation Knowledge.

  • Process Modelling Qualification (ie. Six Sigma Green Belt or above).
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience working for a leading change consultancy.
