About the Role
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Analyst with SQL knowledge to progress their career and gain experience of working with Cloud Technology. This role will consist of the following areas of responsibility:

Incident Management
  • Own and resolve incidents and service requests for all the supported applications that come into the team queue.

Change Management
  • Own, manage and implement changes to the supported applications.

Release Management
  • Manage and deploy releases from the development environments into the live ones.

Service Improvement
  • Develop, document and maintain support processes and procedures.
  • Share knowledge and actively update the knowledge base.
  • Regularly request positive and negative feedback.
  • Implement and embrace new processes as defined by Governance.
  • Continually improve and build personal customer service ethos.

Personal Career, Performance and Development Activities
  • Monthly 1 to 1 meetings with line manager.
  • Quarterly reviews of performance against objectives set.
  • Attend Year end appraisal.
  • Identifying suitable training/coaching opportunities for self to help fulfil personal development plans.
Skills and Experience
About You

Essential Skills and Experience
  • SQL knowledge (Stored Procedures, SQL Scripting)
  • Experience of incident, problem, change and release processes (ITIL).
  • Experience of working within an IT service support environment.
  • Supporting software applications.
  • Experience of Application Monitoring / System Performance Monitoring (SCOM / Splunk/ New Relic.)
Desirable
  • A background in system integration, configuration and maintenance is highly preferable.
  • Experience in Cloud technology (Microsoft Azure).
Qualifications

Essential
  • ITIL Foundation
  • SQL Scripting
Desirable
  • Degree in an IT related subject
  • ITIL Practitioner in one or all - (Problem, change, release).
  • Knowledge in any of the following areas IIS, C#, Java, Xamarin, Powershell, SSIS and SSRS
