About the Role
About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to provide support to a group of solicitors in an in-house legal employment team which provides services across the PFG Group. You will play an important role within the legal employment team in supporting and assisting with a variety of interesting legal work. A large part of this role will be in the defence of employment related litigation in particular the defence of employment related litigation under the direction of an employment lawyer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the team of employment lawyers in dealing with a variety of matters, in particular the defence of employment related litigation under the direction of an employment lawyer.
  • Preparing bundles of documents for court and tribunal.
  • Taking statements from witnesses.
  • Assisting lawyers preparing for court, including opening and closing arguments and aiding in court pleadings.
  • Drafting letters and documents.
  • Identification of documentation and information required to defend proceedings.
  • Collating information and making enquiries in order to assist with the defence of proceedings.
  • Conducting legal research.
  • Assisting with creation and use of team processes and systems.
  • Responsibility for the processing of documentation and payments in respect of legal employment related matters.
  • Assisting in the collation of information to assist with trend analysis.
  • Administrative duties.

  • Previous experience working as a paralegal or within a legal team.
Qualifications

Essential
  • Some legal knowledge and an understanding of the law and the legal system.
Desirable
  • Law degree or equivalent.
