About the Role
About the Role

In this role you will be working as an integral part of the Legal Team, specifically providing support to the solicitors within the Legal Financial Services Team and the Deputy Company Secretary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting legal or commercial research into a variety of areas including (but not limited to) corporate governance, company law, financial services regulation, consumer credit law, data protection or commercial contracts.
  • Providing advice on, reviewing and drafting commercial contracts.
  • Supporting the Legal Team and Company Secretarial Team in dealing with day to day matters.
  • Preparing bundles of documents, collating information and making enquiries to assist with any financial services or commercial litigation.
  • Drafting documents, letters or processes.
  • Assisting with intellectual property management for a portfolio of trademarks and domain names across the Group.
  • Assisting with creation and use of team processes and systems, in particular management of the Legal Financial Services centralised mailbox and workload prioritisation.
  • Responsibility for the processing of documentation and payments in respect of legal financial services and company secretarial matters.
  • Assisting in the collation of information to assist with trend analysis.

  • Previous experience working as a paralegal or within a legal team.
  • Interest in company secretarial work.
  • Knowledge of financial services sector/ regulatory environment.

  • Some legal knowledge and an understanding of the law and the legal system.
  • Law degree (or similar)
