About the Role

In this role you will be the Subject Matter expert on Office 365, contributing to the development of Office 365 strategy, group standards and identify and implement new practices, processes and cloud/hybrid technologies where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop, lead and advise on the strategic direction of the Microsoft Office 365 cloud platform.
  • To maintain a strong working knowledge of the Office365 service and all required tools and products.
  • Defining solutions and services, from assessment to proposal, for migrations to Cloud-based strategies that embrace the entire Microsoft 365 Enterprise platform.
  • Act as an escalation resource for issues not resolved by our 2nd line End User Computing & Collaboration Team. Troubleshoot and resolve 3rd line Office 365 related problems (including hardware and software issues).
  • Work on a range of other collaboration technologies such as (but not limited to) SCCM, AD, MDM, Unified Communications, Video Conferencing and provide support for these as required.
  • Audit system configuration to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Actively participate in developing operational models, processes, and procedures in relation to a range of Collaboration technologies.
  • Support multiple projects or initiatives.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
Skills and Experience
About You

You will bring the experience of working on enterprise scale projects from design stage through to operational delivery with a focus on quality and business benefits within a service orientated IT structure.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with the full Office 365 family of cloud and hybrid based products
  • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory/ADFS
  • Demonstrate ability and understanding of a wide range of collaboration technologies and market development.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Advanced problem solving skills, i.e. an ability to adapt existing approaches and create innovative solutions to highly complex problems
  • Strong discipline for creation of technical and process documentation, frameworks and working to defined build standards and templates.

Experience of some of the following technology platforms:
  • Messaging/Exchange Architect Experience in Hybrid Exchange environments.
  • AD/SCCM/Windows Client Environments.
  • Communication platforms such as Genesys/Avaya/Verint/Microsoft CloudPBC/Skype/Teams Polycom Video Conferencing Solutions.
  • Airwatch Mobile Device Management.
  • ITIL Background, firm understanding of ITIL practices, incident, service, change, problem and release management.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • MCSA Office 365 or relevant equivalent product families.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation.
  • Microsoft MTA/MCSE.
