We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Risk Advisory Manager to join our Bradford Head Office. You will be responsible for coaching and support of first-line Technology & Change in addressing control deficiencies, maintenance of risk registers and control self-assessment.
About the Role
Key Accountabilities
  • Support and provide advice with regards to the implementation of the Consumer Credit Division's risk framework in Technology & Change.
  • Assist the first line in assessing risks to the objectives of Tech & Change processes, identifying and evaluating controls and taking actions to remediate weaknesses.
  • Assist with the implementation and completion of the risk & control self-assessment process (RCSA) in Tech & Change.
  • Support first-line Tech & Change in understanding and adhering to CCD's standards and approach with regards to risk appetite.
  • Assist in the design of any risk training / coaching for Tech & Change, and provide support where necessary.
  • Input into Technology projects and also into the Change process in an advisory capacity to help ensure that project risks are identified early, and that control requirements are clearly specified and included as part of delivery.
  • Communicate any key messages arising from the results of the work carried out to the rest of the Risk Advisory team.
Skills and Experience
Ideal Candidate

Alongside the core values that Provident look for in all employees, we expect you to have experience in a risk management role in an IT environment, and advising on control self-assessment (CSA) work.

You will be able to communicate effectively in order to gain the support of strong-willed individuals through reasoned argument and effective decision making, and be confident and resilient with the ability to handle confrontation professionally.

An understanding of COBIT is also essential.
