About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Monitoring & Reporting Officer to join our team in Bradford to offer first line monitoring and reporting to demonstrate the effectiveness of 1st line controls across the business.

In this role you will provide assurance of the 1st Line controls by completing regular monitoring and continuous reporting to the 1st line functions through senior management reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reviews of first line controls, to provide assurance that key controls are effective and demonstrate adherence to business processes and procedures.
  • Ensure information provided is accurate, up to date and meets the needs of the stakeholder.
  • Fully understand business processes and control frameworks in order to identify areas of weakness and contribute to effective mitigation proposals.
  • Monitor and report on potential ineffective 1st line controls with particular focus on areas where customer detriment has/could be the result or where there are conduct related issues.
  • Utilise data produced from exception reports in order to perform reviews on appropriate controls.
  • Provide timely, professional and factually accurate outputs/written reports of reviews and contribute to reports that will inform key stakeholders and senior manager forums such as SMC.
  • Review management information and data in order to identify trends and articulate findings in appropriate formats.
  • Identify where the business is not effectively monitoring against policies, procedures and controls and responds suitably and punctually to the risks of not meeting those requirements.
Skills and Experience
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent communication skills at both colleague and management levels.
  • Good understanding in the use of IT systems and Equipment.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to plan & organise own workload, with strong time management skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Awareness of data capture and storage solutions e.g. data warehousing/data mining.
  • Good standard of SQL knowledge, Including cloud based.
  • Good Knowledge of Power Bi system.
  • Good degree in a numerate discipline with statistical content.
