About the Role
About the Role

In this role you will develop Configuration Management strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines and champion the importance and value of Configuration Management. You will lead the development and shape new methods and organisational capabilities (including automation) for configuration management and then measures and monitor adherence to standards and ensures consistent execution of the process across the organisation. You will be performing change control and configuration audits across the estate to ensure that records are accurate.

You will establish a reliable repository (CMDB) of accurate information regarding IT components and understand the relationships between CI's and those which components impact which service. In addition you will manage a small team of Change Management Analysts.
Skills and Experience
About You

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in Configuration Management Methodologies who has worked within a large scale complex IT environment
  • Understand / experience with implementing ITIL framework for Configuration Management
  • Extensive hands-on Configuration Management and CMS experience, ideally gained in a complex, digital IT environment.
  • Experience in defining, implementing and maintaining a configuration management service catalog for both business and technology owners
  • Experience in performing Configuration Management tasks to support multiple operational teams
  • Be familiar with the BMC RemedyForce, SNOW, SCCM and ADDM auto-discovery tools.
  • Previous experience in the creation of Service Maps.
