About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a First Line Control IT & Change Senior Manager within our Group First Line Control function who will play a key role within the function's Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for overseeing and managing the delivery of first line controls assurance.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Oversee the delivery of IT & Change key control first line assurance.
  • Manage overall interactions with IT & Change business contacts and with the Group's Senior Leadership Teams, including Directors.
  • Oversee and manage Group First Line Control Leads day-to-day.
  • Contribute to and challenge the Group's strategic agenda, applying SME experience in Financial Services and banking IT and Change risk and control and insight gained day-to-day in role.
  • Support the Group Head of First Line Control in the production of Group-wide first line Control Self-Assessment reporting and other centralised reporting on Group-wide risk and control themes.
Skills and Experience
The skills and experience you will have:
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with the ability to balance assertiveness with need to build and maintain internal relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly analytical, able to work with both low levels of detail and a big picture organisation-wide perspective and think critically and strategically.
  • Deep experience in IT and Change risk and control within Financial Services and banking, including strong IT security, resilience, data governance, programme management and ITIL based experience.
  • An experienced SME who can therefore focus on what good looks like and meeting broader regulatory expectations.
  • Exposure to large scale projects and business transformation initiatives.
  • Meaningful experience in managing teams through delivery and in people performance management.
  • Resilient and able to manage disagreement and find ways to reach an agreed position.
  • Degree or equivalent educated.
  • CISA or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel across our offices when required (Bradford & London)
Desirable skills and experience, but not essential:
  • Good modelling skills and IT literacy.
  • Commercially focused – good understanding of business performance dynamics.
