About the Role
We have a unique opportunity for a Group Enterprise Risk Manager within our Risk function who will play a key role as a Senior Member of the Group Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team, responsible for the management and development of Moneybarn's risk framework, as directed by the Group ERM methodology.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Represent Group ERM at Moneybarn risk committees, providing management information, risk insight and challenge where required.
  • Produce the required risk reporting to support risk governance structure aligned to the Group ERM framework and reporting methodology.
  • Support and partner with senior management in the business to ensure that risks are clearly identified, regularly assessed and appropriately managed / mitigated.
  • Ensure Moneybarn's alignment and adherence to the Group ERM framework.
  • Provide effective second line review and challenge of Moneybarn's Risk and Control environment.
  • Lead the integration of the Risk Harmonisation Programme workstreams within Moneybarn.
  • Oversight of GIA audit reports and actions, and providing support to depts on resolving audit actions in consultation with GIA.
  • Maintaining awareness of regulatory change, regulatory activity and industry practices in order to provide an independent and balanced interpretation of regulatory risks.
Skills and Experience
The skills and experience you will have:
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with the ability to balance assertiveness with need to build and maintain internal relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly analytical, able to work with both low levels of detail and a big picture organisation-wide perspective and think critically and strategically.
  • Deep experience in risk and control within Financial Services and banking, including conduct, operational and broader governance experience.
  • An experienced SME who can therefore focus on what good looks like and meeting broader regulatory expectations.
  • Exposure to large scale projects and business transformation initiatives.
  • Meaningful experience in managing teams through delivery and in people performance management.
  • Resilient and able to manage disagreement and find ways to reach an agreed position.
  • Self-starter with high degree of self-sufficiency.
Desirable skills and experience, but not essential:
  • Experience of working in an FCA/FSA regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of consumer/motor finance.
  • Risk qualification (for example IRM)
