About the Role

Please note this role is a fixed term contract (7-12 months) Immediate start!
Location: Bradford - hybrid working, office based 2-3 days per week


About the role

As a Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery and implementation of Business Change and IT Projects to time, cost and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring colleagues have a clear understanding of the business objectives and how their role contributes to them
  • Lead, engage and motivate the project teams and direct reports to deliver business objectives
  • Build capability of team by supporting and coaching through effective performance management practices
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to team members
  • Effectively communicate with Head of Function and Senior Managers to provide feedback on potential succession plans and team performance
  • Manage day to day activity and delegate workload so that it is distributed appropriately
  • Ensure the right people are in the right roles and that skills are being utilised effective
  • Responsible for the delivery of team objectives
  • Ensure business policy and processes reflect current practices and are adhered to
  • Provide operational and specialist insight to drive continuous improvement
Skills and Experience
Essential Skills and Experience

Previous experience managing the delivery of successful change through the Project Lifecycle by:
  • Creating detailed project plans and reporting progress against them
  • Being responsible for and tracking Project Budgets
  • Identifying and proactively managing risks, issues and dependencies
  • Regular reporting of Project activities and progress throughout Project Lifecyle
  • Ensuring Project Governance is adhered to
  • Experience of working with Waterfall and Agile project delivery frameworks and methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with Stakeholders at all levels internally and third party suppliers where appropriate
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage workload accordingly
  • Able to lead teams to successfully deliver change on time and to budget whilst also working under own initiative where appropriate
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • Rigorous attention to detail
Qualifications
Essential
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Desirable
  • Prince 2 or equivalent
