About the Role
Location: Bradford - hybrid working, office based 1-2 days per week

We are looking for a Senior Acquisition and Retention Manager to lead the Partnerships New Customer Acquisition strategy and KPI's, alongside developing existing, new 3rd party and group relationships to ensure business objectives are met in line with the business' growth plans. The role holder will be responsible for ATL broadcast media, Sponsorship and Brand and all existing customer communications.
  • Responsible for ensuring colleagues have a clear understanding of the business objectives and how their role contributes to them
  • Lead, engage and motivate the team to deliver both the Partnerships new customer acquisition and the retention strategy in line with business objectives
  • Build capability of team by supporting and coaching through effective performance management practices
  • Effectively communicate with Head of Function to provide feedback on potential succession plans and team performance
  • Ensure the right people are in the right roles and that skills are being utilised effectively in order to build high quality teams
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to team members through performance reviews
  • Reward and celebrate team achievements and great performance
  • Effectively manage the team in all other aspects of their role including attendance and behaviours and have regular wellbeing discussions

Key Responsibilities
  • As a key member of the Marketing Leadership team, lead direct team and multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in to the Partnerships vision
  • Support the Partnerships Team in attracting new partners and establish a smooth transition model for our partners and colleagues from '˜prospect' to '˜live'
  • Lead all ATL and sponsorship activity ensuring impact and ROI, utilising analysis to create an impactful strategy and continuous improvement
  • Own the Brand to ensure impact and consistency through all interactions
  • Create strategy for customer experience and communications ensuring key KPIs are met
  • Deliver a best in class experience and proposition for our customers and partners to become the lender of choice across all distribution channels
  • Define and embed an effective Partner Management framework
  • Utilise research, customer behaviour and feedback to shape brand and customer communications strategy
  • Lead all partner relationships across multiple industry sectors and distribution channels to create a '˜win-win-win' for ourselves, our partners and our customers
  • Accountable for negotiation of existing partner objectives, contracts & terms with external stakeholders
  • Work with the Senior Management Team to define a 3 year Partnerships strategy to support growth objectives
  • Anticipate future challenges to ensure successful delivery of the Commercial strategy
  • Provides specialist input into strategic planning, providing evaluations of risks and solutions in order to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure our regulatory obligations are '˜front of mind' and this is evident in the way we manage our partner relationships
  • Develop and maintain a policy framework and evidence the periodic review of policies in line with acceptable standards
Skills and Experience

  • Recent experience of working in an FCA regulated business
  • Able to delegate responsibility
  • Analytical thinking who is able to interpret MI/BI and use it for sound decision making
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence, negotiate and constructively challenge at all levels
  • Ability to operate independently and objectively
  • Ability to deputise for the Head of Function
  • Understanding of corporate governance frameworks
  • PC Literacy to include middle management level MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and organise work effectively and prioritise deadlines whilst working at a fast pace
  • Extensive Partnership & Sales management experience (ideally within Financial Services) with a track record of delivery against challenging goals
  • Experience in managing budgets and making sound investment decisions
  • Ability to demonstrate proactive thought leadership
  • Strong commercial understanding and business acumen
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders across the matrix
  • Understanding of corporate governance frameworks
  • Experience of successfully leading and coaching direct and indirect teams
  • The ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day operational activity – must be able to operate at pace in a fast-moving environment
  • Proven ability to effectively plan, organise work effectively and prioritise activities in a fast paced environment
  • Experience of formulating and executing commercial strategies
  • Knowledge of ATL new customer acquisition channels
  • Educated to degree level
