About the Role
About the Role
We are looking for a Performance Analyst & Planning Specialist to support commercial and operational business goals by delivering performance analysis and insight, based on analysis of offline and digital activity (across a range of digital channels - Mobile, Web, App) to inform planning and marketing strategy moving forward. The role holder will provide vital insights to stakeholders and drive marketing performance, as well as helping delivery teams make informed decisions as part of continuous programs of renewal and transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as SME for Performance Analysis, providing analysis and insight stakeholders, highlighting opportunities through hypothesis-led work and providing informed and measurable recommendations and actions
  • Provide digital channel performance analysis, dashboards, digital analytics expertise and tagging support in order to deliver standardised '˜best in Group' reporting capability
  • Work with Tag Management systems (Adobe Launch) at a technical level for the implementation and optimisation of 3rd party tags for performance measurement
  • Analysis of performance dashboards and reports, identifying areas of improvement and recommending solutions to be implemented to develop Digital commercialisation activities and maximize business growth
  • Provide support, knowledge and metrics expertise across digital performance and promote digital performance best practice
  • Develop partnerships with internal stakeholders (and where applicable external stakeholders such as iProspect, Content Square and Adobe) to ensure that identified opportunities can be efficiently scoped, deployed and measured
  • Develop benchmarking activities, both internal (company comparisons, sharing best in class) and external research
  • A champion for performance analysis, its importance, management and execution
  • The day-to-day business owner for all performance analysis, it's planning, management and strategy
  • Ensures that hypothesis led/business-problem based analysis is being produced and that recommendations being delivered are robust, accurate and reflects business need.
  • Works closely with Business Stakeholders, Customer Research, Product Owners, Digital Analytics, Digital Optimisation, Credit Analytics, Business Development and Technical teams to provide a solid grounding and understanding of performance.
  • Manages requests for performance analysis and act pro-actively, helping business stakeholders hone in on the right data points and challenging where appropriate to ensure that we do not become over-burdened by Analysis Paralysis' or the production of excessive insights data.
  • Monitor changes to the competitive landscape and support changes in the high-level requirements of the organisation within the area of responsibility.
  • Translate analysis and insight to identify opportunities and anticipate changes with commercial and customer focus.

  • Recent experience of working in an FCA regulated business
  • Able to delegate responsibility
  • Analytical thinking who is able to interpret MI/BI and use it for sound decision making
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence, negotiate and constructively challenge at all levels
  • Ability to operate independently and objectively
  • Ability to deputise for the Head of Function
  • Understanding of corporate governance frameworks
  • PC Literacy to include middle management level MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and organise work effectively and prioritise deadlines whilst working at a fast pace
Essential
  • Demonstrable experience in defining and measuring performance in a fast moving, analytics-driven organisation
  • Track record for identifying usage patterns and trends in metrics & working to proactively articulate statistical insights as commercial opportunities
  • Previous experience using web analytical tools, especially Adobe Analytics
  • Previous experience managing and producing reports for senior stakeholders
  • Previous experience working with web data in a business change environment
  • A passion for the appropriate management of data & reporting
  • A good sense of commercial understanding and business acumen ideally through exposure to change budgets and digital P&L
  • Understanding of corporate governance frameworks & the modern risk and regulatory environment and specifically how it relates to the web
  • PC Literacy to include middle management level MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point
  • The ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day operational activity

Desirable
  • Understanding of in page analytics solutions such as Click Tale, Decibel Insights Content Square.
  • Understanding of tag management solutions such as Adobe Launch
  • Understanding of website architecture and network topology
  • Experience working in a fully Agile or Dev-ops environment
  • Awareness of mobile, mobile apps & their development
